Iran not to raise petrol price

TEHRAN, April 10 (Shana) –- Iranian Ministry of Petroleum has issued a statement to deny any raise in the price of gasoline in Iran for the time being.

Rejecting recent media speculations that the ministry is mulling an increase in the price of the product, the public relations department of the ministry issued a statement on Sunday evening, saying that Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh has not made any remarks about raising petrol prices recently.

The statement also calls on domestic media to shun publication of baseless hearsay and speculate about the price of gasoline.
