Mazandaran to host Iran tourism conference

TEHRAN, Apr. 05 (MNA) – The international conference and exhibition of Iran’s tourism will be held in Mazandaran Province as the country’s tourism hub.

Babak Pezeshki, Executive Secretary of the Conference, said the event will convene in September under the auspice of Traveling and Tourism Development Corporation of Mazandaran Province with the support of relevant governmental institutions as well as the country’s universities.

“The conference pursues various aims including identifying weaknesses and challenges in tourism industry, promoting interactions between universities and executive agencies, introduction of tourist attractions and efforts to develop and promote their strengths, providing innovative solutions to attract domestic and foreign investment, expansion of tourism infrastructures, job creation and entrepreneurship with extensive participation of national directors, senior managers of organizations, domestic and foreign investors, top academics researchers and students in the field,” he added.

Pezeshki went on to note that “the special part of the event will discuss and exchange views in areas like pathology of tourism development plans and determining appropriate policies, development of tourism with environmental conservation, economic prospects of tourism expansion within the framework of panels, meetings as well as specialized workshops and presentations.”

The official underlined that an exhibition will also be held on the sidelines of the event with the participation of municipalities, reputable companies active in the field of tourism, travel agencies, hotels, entertainment complexes and free zones giving them a precious opportunity to introduce their products and services.
