In a Twitter post on Monday, the President paid tribute to young Hamid-Reza Gangozehi who rushed to rescue three of his pupils when they were trapped under debris in a remote rural school in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan in southeast of the country.
The tragic incident happened when the wall of an old house adjacent to the school collapsed because of a very strong wind almost bearing several students under the debris.
Referring to the incident which happened in the city of Khash on Sunday, the President said the name of the brave teacher who chose to sacrifice his own life for safety of his students will be associated with such notions as sacrifice and bravery in the mind of Iranians for any time to come.
