President meets with ministry of communication staff

Tehran, April 4, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani met with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology staff and officials on Monday morning.

Representatives of private sector involved in the communication and information technology were also present in the meeting.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, or ICT established in 1908, is responsible for postal services, telephones and information technology in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Laying out and implementing policies pertaining to post and communications are among the functions of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, which is also in charge of issuing import licenses for certain communication apparatus and parts thereof.
