Iran, Iraq set for border press festival

TEHRAN (FNA)- Cultural and media officials from Iran's Ilam province and bordering Iraqi Wasit and Missan provinces will soon hold a joint media festival to promote border exchanges, Iranian media said on Sunday.

In a meeting in the Iraqi city of Kut, the two sides agreed to hold the festival to help promote traditional customs along the border regions.

During the upcoming event, there will be no visa restrictions for those willing to visit the festival on either side of the border.

Iranian provinces of Ilam, Kermanshah, Khuzestan, Kordestan, and West Azarbaijan as well as Iraqi provinces of Missan, Wasit, Diyala, Halabja, Basra, Sulaymaniyah, and Erbil will take part in the event.
