ZANJAN, Mar. 16 (MNA) � Meeting the businessmen of Iranian city of Zanjan, on Tuesday, Russian ambassador to Tehran commented on the latest of Syrian crisis.


The Russian president had informed his Syrian counterpart about the removal of the �main part� of Russian military in Syria, announced Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan on Thursday.

The diplomat made the remark on the sideline of the meeting he had with traders and businessmen of Iranian mid-western city of Zanjan.

Dzhagaryan reiterated that the Russian government is continuously backing the legitimate government of Syria.

Russia acted responsibly in Syria and Syrian President Assad offered his gratitude to the Russian Federation for helping the legitimate government of the Arab country in fighting with terrorism, the Russian diplomat highlighted.

Saying that still some Russian forces will stay in Syria, Dzhagaryan boasted that serious damages have been pounded on the terrorists in the course of Russian strikes in Syria.

As a diplomat, developments are followed by optimism but the Russian forces did a great job in Syria, he said touching upon the newest round of Geneva talks between Syrian parties.

The Russian diplomat also criticized Turkish policies toward the crisis in Syria, and necessitated border control between the two countries after the Turkey's�acts in stirring insecurity in Syria.

The Turks are expected to revise their policies toward Syria to be constructive in dealing with the crisis, said Dzhagaryan, demanding that Turkey must block the border traffic with Syria.
