Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that major oil producers will most likely meet to talk over oil production freeze in April.


TEHRAN (Sputnik) � Major oil producers will most likely meet to�talk over�oil production freeze in�April, the final date of�the meeting will be coordinated in�the near�future, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Monday.
"Different dates, as�I have stated earlier, are currently being discussed. Most likely, this meeting will take place in�April. However, I think we will be able to�coordinate the specific date in�next few days," Novak told reporters following�talks with�Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh.


The meeting�s venue is also being discussed, the Russian energy minister noted.
"Such consultations, negotiations within�OPEC are held by�the OPEC member states, basically, it is Qatar, who currently chairs OPEC. Doha is also considered as�an option for�the meeting," Novak stressed.
