Iran condemns Daesh terrorist attack in Iraq's Kirkuk province

Tehran, March 15, IRNA Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari condemned the Daesh Takfiri group's recent terrorist act of launching chemical attacks on the civilians in Kirkuk province.

'The recent crime is another big warning for international community to pave the grounds for confronting the known supporters of terrorist groups through adopting bright policies in effective and decisive confrontation with the Takfiri and terrorist groups, specially Daesh,' Jaberi Ansari said while sympathizing with bereaved families of the chemical attacks' victims in Taza town of Kirkuk province.

Earlier, Daesh terrorists have used chemical weapons for attacks on the northern Iraqi town of Taza in the province of Kirkuk that have killed a child and injured hundreds of civilians.

According to the military, Iraqi artillery shelled the Daesh positions near Kasbah Bashir settlement that were used to launch missiles rigged with toxic substances.

Kirkuk province has repeatedly been at the epicenter of fierce clashes between Daesh, which is prohibited in many countries, including Russia, and Iraqi forces since the jihadist group captured vast parts of Iraq in June.
