TEHRAN, Mar. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Dehghan elaborated on the defensive principles of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Iran’s military power in waters is just for establishing stability, peace and security in the region and Iran’s defense doctrine is based on effective deterrence, hence it threatens no country and guarantees peace, stability and security in the region,” said Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan early on Thursday.
The General made the remarks at the ceremony during which defense industries delivered the newly manufactured fast attack crafts (FAC) to the IRGC Navy in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.
The Iranian minister also thanked the navy forces of both Iran’s Army and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for the high level of readiness and consciousness in securing the sea borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He hailed the diligence of the engineers and technicians of Iranian defense industries who contribute continually to the state-of-the-art status of the military forces of Iran.
Water threats and warfare bear nowadays very strategic importance and upgrading the equipment for the forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran who are responsible for the security of one of the most important waters of the world, Persian Gulf, is necessary, the Brigadier General reassured.
