Envoy: Iran, Norway to reinforce economic ties

Kerman, March 7, IRNA - Norwegian ambassador to Iran said that the economic ties between Iran and Norway are developing in the post-sanctions era.

Speaking with the Governor of Kerman province, Norheim Aud Lise said on Monday that due to relations between Iran and Norway, Norway Foreign Minister came to Iran after twelve years to expand economic ties between the two countries.

She said that Norway is more interested to cooperate with Iran on oil and gas, maritime industries, alternative energy, fishery, fishing and agriculture.

The governor of Kerman province said that we are ready to create joint committee between Governorate, Kerman Chamber of Commerce and Norway embassy in Tehran providing the ground for cooperation between Kerman and the investors.

Alireza Razm Hosseini said that passing Peace Gas Pipelines from Kerman has provided petrochemical capacity for this province.

Referring to Norway's good experience in oil and gas sector, he said that we are ready to negotiate with Norwegian technical companies.
