FIFA’s official world rankings have been updated with only a few changes in the Top 50 Spots, as Belgium retain their top position, while Iran remain Asia’s highest ranked team at 44.
At the top of the monthly rankings, Belgium is followed closely by Argentina, Spain, Germany, Chile, Brazil and Portugal. Four-time World champions Italy have leap-frogged the Netherlands to 14th, while Poland enjoyed the highest climb of 3 Spots, as they moved to 31st.
Meanwhile, Iran held-on to their position as the best ranked Asian side, retaining the 44th place on 627 points. Iran, who are the only Asian side in the top 50, are followed in Asia by Japan and South Korea who are 56th and 57th respectively.
