Tehran to hold 1st Intl. Iranian Neurogenetic Congress
TEHRAN, Mar. 01 (MNA) The 1st International and 9th National Iranian Neurogenetic Congress will be held in Tehran with prominent Iranian, German and French genetics experts in attendance.

Genetics has never been more central than it is today to the national and international conversations surrounding science and its application in health, law and teaching. Without doubt, during the last 15 years, thanks to the integration of phenotypic mapping and sequencing data with tremendous analytical and computational resources, the neurogenetics community has witnessed disease gene discoveries at an amazing pace, sometimes on a monthly or even weekly basis.

Therefore, Genetics Research Center (GRC) of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWRS) and Iranian Neurogenetics Society aim to organize this coming 2016 international congress to bring neurogenetics study groups together to expand the discipline of psychiatric genetics to encompass all researchers whose work in neuroscience, neurobiology and genetics has future implications for developing new diagnostic strategies and advanced technologies. This organized group is dedicated to all aspects of human genetics, including research, clinical practice, and professional and education.

The congress aims to examine the evolution of Neurogenetics society and the genetics community, and opportunities, including an initiative to expand Irans interactions with human geneticist colleagues internationally, and another to consider guidelines for corporate responsibility.

Key foreign speakers at the even include Hans Hilger Ropers, Susann Schweiger, J. Andoni Urtizberea, Markus Nthen, and Marcella Rietschel.

The 1st International and 9th National Iranian Neurogenetic Congress will be held on 2-4 March 2016 by Genetics Research Center at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences in collaboration with Iranian Neurogenetics Society.
