TEHRAN, Feb. 24 (MNA) � British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond in a tweet on Tue. announced the resumption of issuing visas for Iranian nationals at its embassy in Tehran.


�The British Embassy in Tehran and UK Visas & Immigration today resumed visa service in Iran, as promised 6 months after reopening Embassy,� UK's Foreign Secretary�Philip Hammond�posted on�Twitter�Tuesday.

The Iranian Embassy in�London and the UK diplomatic mission in�Tehran had agreed to�resume issuing visas beginning March, following a meeting between�UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Iran and the UK reopened embassies in�August 2015, after the thaw in�the relationship between�the two countries came after�Iran and the 5+1 group of countries�reached an agreement on Tehran�s nuclear program in�July.

Iran�s historic�nuclear agreement�was�implemented�at a ceremony in Vienna on 16 January 2016.
