UN chief condemns ISIL terrorist attacks in Damascus, Homs

NEW YORK, Feb. 23 (MNA) The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon, condemned the bomb attacks on the weekend by the ISIL in the Syrian cities of Damascus and Homs, with balance of at least 155 dead people.

Ban showed his condolences in a bulletin to the relatives of the victims and injured men, and wished them a prompt recovery of the injured people by the new terrorist action, which included bomb cars and suicides.

'The persons in charge of atrocities and attacks against civilians like these, should answer for their crimes', he warned.

Sunday, the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, energetically rejected the attacks.

The ISIL is accused of committing horrible crimes in the Levantine country and other parts of the world, therefore military operations are in progress to neutralize it, among them the ones led by the United States and Russia.
