Iranians interested in determining their fates: Velayati
Tehran, February 20,The Iran Project During a speech in the International Congress on Healthcare Economic and Technical Relations for the Islamic countries in Tehran, Ali-Akbar Velayati the congress's chairman announced that the participation in the upcoming election determines the country's fate and Iranians have proven to be interested in the determining their own fates.

Ali-Akbar Velayati, the Supreme Leader's advisor for International Affairs made the remarks during his speech in the International Congress on Healthcare Economic and Technical Relations for the Islamic countries on Saturday in Tehran.

"Taking part in the election definesthe country's fate and Iranian nation has proven to be interested in determining their own fates," Velayati who chairs the conference said, noting the significance of Iran's upcoming parliamentary and expert assembly elections.

Highlighting the public vote as the basis of thelegitimacy in Islamic Republic of Iran, he quoted Imam Khomeini's famous sentence that `the Majlisheads all affairs`.

The International Congress on Healthcare Economic and Technical Relations for the Islamic countries that kicked off on Saturday, February 20 in Tehran, will last until Monday.

Earlier, Mehdi Karimi the Secretariat of Science and Technology development in Islamic Countries had announced that 34 Muslim countries including ministers, envoys, commercial counselors, top producers and exporters will attend the congress.

The event aims to focus on the Islamic countries relations and capabilities in the area of healthcare economic issues.
