TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (Shana) � Managing Director of the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) Ali-Akbar Safaei said that the firm is in negotiations with Cypriot officials on maritime cooperation.

Following a meeting with the Cypriot deputy transportation minister, he said NITC is interested in expansion of relations with Cyprus.

He said that the Cypriot side too has a mutual interest to increase cooperation with Iran adding that NITC wants global level ties with Cyprus.

Safaei said he urged the Cypriot official to settle a dispute between NITC and a bank in Cyprus who promised to use his good office in this regard.
The Cypriot deputy minister welcomed removal of sanctions against Iran and expressed his country�s readiness to cooperate with NITC in registration of flag and other maritime transportation fields.
