Over $66m contracts signed with internal investors

Mashhad, Feb 14, IRNA- Deputy Energy Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and the Department of Energy Support said that 20,000b rials (Approx $66m ) contracts have been signed with internal investors to implement water transfer lines in the last two years.


The contracts have been signed in Build-Own-Operate (BOO) and Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contracts.

Reza Anjom Shoa told IRNA on Saturday that previously the Ministry of Energy used external investment like World Bank facilities, Islamic Development Bank and foreign finance for electricity, energy, water and waste projects.

On the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, he said that we require technology, knowledge and foreign investors swap.

He added that the Ministry of Energy provided these plans in various sectors like plant construction, using new energies and drinking water networks to take advantage of the foreign investment.
