Secret to progress lies in path of resistive economy: Senior cleric

Tehran, Feb 12, IRNA – Tehran’s substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Kazem Sediqi urged people to head the statements of the leader and not believe false promises of certain parliamentary election candidates.

‘Country’s progress has to be achieved by acting upon Supreme Leader’s guidelines and moving in the direction of resistance economy,’ he said in the second sermon of Tehran Friday Prayers.

He praised people’s participation in massive rallies across the country on the occasion of victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Referring to the upcoming parliament election as well as election for Assembly of Experts on February 26, he invited people to cast their votes.

He recommended candidates to respect law, behave in terms of Islamic ethics, be honest and avoid extravagance.
