Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA � Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Sunday warned against radical measures that may disappoint people from a major turnout in the upcoming general elections.


Underlining the significance of the upcoming elections, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said that disappointing people from the elections will help the enemies to pace up their Iranophobia and Shiaphobia campaign.

If people rush to ballot boxes and send their representatives to Parliament and the Assembly of Experts with high votes, those elected can make decisions with reliance on their votes, the Ayatollah said.

He expressed hope that the Iranian nation will create a new epic in the elections late February just like what they did two years ago in the presidential election.
