Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA � Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari said on Monday that Iran believes Hajj pilgrimage is a religious issue and should not be mixed with political issues.

Speaking during his weekly press briefing, Jaber Ansari said that hosting Hajj pilgrims and religious sites is an honor for the Saudi government.

He said Iran hopes the Saudi government would remain committed to what it had announced earlier and would prepare the grounds for holding Hajj pilgrimage by Iranian nationals.
