Jask, Hormuzgan Prov, Feb 4, IRNA � First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said here Thursday that Iran plays effective role in ensuring regional stability.

At an opening ceremony on a development project in Jask in this southern province, Jahangiri said Iran is the center of security in the region and the world has admitted it.

Not only does Iran enjoy security and tranquility in the region but also helps others experience regional stability, he said.

If they (world countries) really want to fight with terrorism, they should know that Iran is the only country that can play the major role in achieving that end, Jahangiri stressed.
