Int'l Conference of Persian language kicks off in Indian university

Tehran,February 3, The Iran Project - International Conference of Persian language and literature began at the University of Aligarh in India on Wednesday.

With the presence of Persian language professors and researchers from Iran, India, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, International Conference of Persian language and literature at the time of Mughal emperorAkbar Shah and Safavid kings began at Aligarh Muslim University in India on Wednesday.

 



In a message to the conference, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, the director ofthe Academy of Persian Language wrote that the conference has provided a valuableopportunitytostudy historical period of Akbar Shah and its impact on the development of Persian language in India.

Elsewhere in his message, Haddad-Adel said that the present generation in India and Iran should be informed of the precious historical and scientific sources that were written in Persian in this period.

Prominent experts and professors participating in the three-day conference will deliver different speeches about Iran-India elements in Persian literature and poetry, Persian poets of India, the share of Akbar Shah and Safavid periods in Hindi and Esfahani styles.

Ali Dehgahi, Iranian Cultural attach in New Delhi said earlier on Sunday that more than 40 Persian language groups are working in different colleges and universities of India.
