Iran rejects reports on sending Afghan nationals to Syria

TEHRAN (ISNA)- An Iranian informed Foreign Ministry official rejected reports on sending Afghan nationals for Syrian war by some Iranian organizations, saying that the reports aim to run propaganda.

“There is some information on presence of Afghan nationals in two parties involved in Syria. However, we cannot discuss definitely about ways of their presence in two fronts of Syria, because the ISIL terrorists and other terrorist groups backed by their supporters in Syria and Iraq have received forces from different countries, including Afghanistan,” the official said.

The official said that based on evidence some Afghan nationals had been residing in Syria and some of them had arrived in Syria from Afghanistan and some were transferred through Iran.
