Tehran, February 2, The Iran Project- A senior Iranian lawmaker warns US over the cancellation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying that doing so they will harm their international standing.

Speaking to a reporter on Monday, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, Alaeddin Boroujerdi referred to the efforts of Texas congressman Louie Gohmert to stop the JCPOA and said the JCPOA was approved by the US and if they act against it, they will harm their international standing.

Boroujerdi stressed on the importance of the JCPOA on the international relations, adding that all countries should be committed to their obligations under the deal.

The world should know that Iran fulfills its obligations as far as the other side is committed to its obligations in implementing the JCPOA, he reiterated.

The JCPOA was signed on July 14, 2015 following two and a half years of intensive talks between Iran and the P5+1 the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany but Texas congressman Louie Gohmert is looking to courts to stop the deal.
Gohmert said this is the last chance to derail the deal while PresidentObama is in the White House, but according to the Iranian lawmaker the US domestic court cannot revoke an international deal.
