Islamabad, Jan 28, IRNA- Pakistan UN permanent representative, Malihe Ludi said on Wednesday that Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) can play a major role in defusing the tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia and in re-establishing bilateral ties.

Ludi said that negotiations would be an important and effective way to solve the problems among regional countries of the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Defense Minister also said on January 27 that the initiative taken by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to mediate between Tehran and Riyadh has been lauded at international level.
