In northwester Iranian city of Ajabshir, the public prosecutor sent a father to prison because he refused to let his son to go to school.

Mohammad Hossein Nobagheri, said preventing children from schooling is an offence and in case there is no convincing reason for such prevention, then the case will be taken up by judiciary based on the law safeguarding the rights of children and young adults. Father of the boy, who with no justification has stopped his son of going to school, has been sentenced to 4 months imprisonment.
