EU airlines ready to resume direct flights to Tehran

Such airlines as the Air France and Dutch KLM told Iran about their readiness to launch direct flights to Iran in the nearest future, according to the deputy head of Irans Civil Aviation Organization.





MOSCOW (Sputnik) Several European airlines announced they were ready toresume direct flights withIran, the deputy head ofIrans Civil Aviation Organization said Wednesday.
"Such airlines asthe Air France and Dutch KLM told Iran abouttheir readiness tolaunch direct flights toIran inthe nearestfuture," Mohammad Khodakarami said, asquoted bythe Iran's Ministry ofRoads and Urban Development website.




According toKhodakarami, British Airways has also said it was ready toresume flights betweenLondon and Tehran, suspended five years before, withinthe next two months.

Earlier inJanuary, UN, EU and US sanctions were lifted fromIran followingTehran's implementation ofits obligations underthe nuclear deal signed withsix world powers toensure the peaceful nature ofits nuclear program. The move has restored the Islamic Republics access tothe global market.
