TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) � MICT international relations office has said minister�s visit to France seeks to promote cooperation in building national telecommunication satellite.

 


Iran�s Minister�of Information and�Communications�Technology (MICT) Mahmoud Vaezi told reporters when departing Tehran for Paris that the visit would extend cooperation in space and aeronautics with France.

Hassan Malek, the Head of the MICT international relations office announced that minister�s visit before President Rouhani�s official visit to Paris was in line with official plan to boost bilateral ties on science with world industrial countries, and Vaezi headed a delegation of 15 private sector company directors.

�Ministerial visit will discuss matters of interest for Iran in aerospace and satellite sector with prominent French companies active in space and aeronautics. Mr. Vaezi will also visit Airbus, Telecom, and Orange,� he added. �The Minister will seek cooperation of French companies� aid on providing counseling, investment, technology transfer, joint ventures in building IT and telecommunications, Research and Development,� Malek said.

�Other fields of interest for Iran to discuss are standardization of design and production, digital communication protocol regulations including frequency monitoring and management, permit issuing, all regulatory functions in communications, data exchange and policy-making in telecommunications and information, supporting small- and medium-sized innovative firms and promoting of private sector role in holding events specially exhibitions which would improve bilateral relations on trade, industry, and investments in space technology,� he detailed further.
