Leader issues message of condolence on cleric’s martyrdom in Hajj

Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA – Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a message of condolence on martyrdom of Sheikh Moslem Qolipour-Gilani, a victim of Hajj stampede in Mina this year.

The body of the cleric who was martyred in Mina incident in this year’s Hajj ritual was identified and transferred to Iran. He was laid to rest in Qum.

The Supreme Leader condoled his family and all his students and wished the departed soul divine blessing.

This year, 64,000 Iranian pilgrims headed for Saudi Arabia for Hajj rituals of whom 464 lost their lives in Mina due to incompetency of the Saudi government. More than 8,000 Muslim pilgrims from four corners of the world died in the incident.
