Kashan, Jan 14, IRNA � Islamic Republic of Iran's Consul General in Heidarabad blasted that some regional countries for making efforts to disrupt the peaceful image of Iran in the region and the world.

'A big plot by some regional rivals has been engineered against the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to prevent the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by creating tensions in the region and tainting the peaceful image of Iran,' Hassan Nourian told reporters on Thursday.

Nourian also pointed to the holding of vibrant elections to preserve the noble objectives of the Islamic Revolution, and said, 'Consensus of all political groups of the country is the most important principle for all-out expansion of relations.

He reiterated that the maximum turnout of the people in the upcoming election shows consensus among the government, nation and the Islamic system and their compliance with the ideals of late Imam Khomeini and the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as well as the political will and power of the Iranian nation in the international scene.
