Supreme Leader receives Afghan chief executive
Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei received the visiting Chief Executive Officer of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdollah Abdollah here on Tuesday.


Abdollah arrived in Tehran on Monday afternoon for a 3-day visit.

He is due to exchange views with senior Iranian officials on bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

Abdollah is the second Afghan senior official, who has visited Iran in the Iranian year of 1394 after President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani paid a visit to Tehran on April 19, 2015.

Abdollah is due to visit transit capacities of Iranian Chabahar Port on coastal area of the Oman Sea to follow up implementing the agreements already signed by the Iranian and Afghan officials.

A high ranking delegation including deputy chief executive Mohammad Mohaqeq, Advisor to Afghan President for national security Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Minister of Immigration Seyed Hossein Alami Balkhi, Minister of Trade and Industry Homayoun Rasa, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Naseem Ouria Kheil, Minister of Information and Culture Abdul Bari Jahani, Minister of Transportation and Civil Aviation Mohammad Betash, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Hekmat Khalil and several advisors at the Presidential Office are accompanying Abdollah Abdollah.

The Afghan chief executive is due to sign several cooperation documents in the field of tourism, sports, the youth welfare and construction of cultural sites.
