Saudi U.N. envoy: We are not natural-born enemies of Iran

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA Saudi Arabian Ambassador in the United Nations Abdallah Al-Mouallimi said his country is not the natural-born enemy of Iran.

Talking to reporters on Monday, he accused Iran of meddling in the affairs of other countries and said his country would restore relations with Iran when Tehran stops doing so.'

The ambassadors accusations come despite the fact that Saudi Arabia has been massacring and destroying the Muslim nation of Yemen with huge military operations both from land and air for the past 11 months. It also sponsors and organizes terrorist groups in Syria against the legitimate government of the country.

The Saudi ambassador pledged that Riyadh would continue to work 'very hard' to advance its purposes in Syria and Yemen, Reuters reported.

He claimed Riyadh was against Iran for above-mentioned reasons and would rather restore relations with Iran.

The Reuters quoted the Saudi envoy as saying that 'If they do so, we will of course have normal relations with Iran. We are not natural-born enemies of Iran.'
