Tehran, Jan 2, IRNA � Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a message on the occasion of martyrdom of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr said that undoubtedly hostile behavior of the Saudi regime in execution of Sheikh Nimr lacerate feeling of Muslims all around the world and the Saudi rulers should know that by such act they have created a horrible quagmire for themselves.


He wrote that the sad news concerning martyrdom of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr Baqr al-Nimr by Saudi regime is source of regret for Islamic Umma.

Larijani wrote that such acts will intensify regional security problems, because it is not an issue related to a person, but an issue of Islamic world and the Saudi regime by its inhuman and mistaken behaviors in the past two years has intensified insecurity and engulfing war in the region.

Larijani condemned this inhuman act of execution of prominent Shia cleric and wished blessing for soul of brave cleric and patient for his family and condoled with Shia from Saudi Arabia.

Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia in a statement declared on Saturday that 47 persons on security charges have been executed in 12 regions in the country.
