Firouzabadi congratulates military commanders on Islamic Unity Week

Tehran, Dec 27, IRNA – Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi in various messages felicitated military commanders of the Islamic countries on the occasion of the Islamic Unity Week.

The Islamic Unity Week marks the Birth Anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on December 24.

Also, Firouzabadi extended messages to the military commanders of Christian states congratulating them on the approaching 2016 New Year.

Firouzabadi wished unity and dignity for Muslims all over the world and peace and tranquility in the globe.

The Islamic Unity Week was initiated by the late Imam Khomeini following the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979.

Since its inception, the Islamic Unity Week has been marked annually, not only in Iran, but also throughout the world, and has played an important role in bringing the various Islamic Schools of Thought on a single platform.
