Ansarullah sources: Efforts made to bring talks to deadlock in Yemen

Alwaght- A source close to Yemen's Ansarullah movement has told Alwaght news that the negotiation teams of Yemen's Ansarullah movement and the resigned Yemeni President Abd Rabuh Mansour Hadi have negotiated face to face in Switzerland without the presence of the UN envoy to Yemen.

The atmosphere of this round of talks has been positive; the resources close to Ansarullah assessd.Adding more details about the dialogue, the source said that Ansarullah team's priority in the negotiations was holding a ceasefire. But, on the opposite side, Hadi's team has rejected prioritizing the truce deal, demanding that some of its captives, including the resigned president's brother, should be released. Reportedly, the Saudi delegation in the session has said that it lacked the eligibility and leverage to negotiate the ceasefire.

The informed resource also added that Ahmad bin Daghr, a member of the pro-Hadi team, had asked for ending the seizure of Al-Tazia district in Taiz province, where his cousin was present. Daghr's push for his demand has led into a divide between Hadi's team members as the Saudi delegation's head Abdel-Malek al-Mekhlafi opposed the request.

In return to lifting the blockade from Al-Tazia the Ansarullah's negotiators have called for lifting the siege from the whole of Yemen. Representatives of this group have agreed to transfer humanitarian aid to the province of Taiz .

Additionally, according to the agreements reached in the negotiations, the two sides agreed to form a "communication and pacification committee" with mutual participation in order to stop developing the war. Also, they agreed to form a military committee headed by a Lebanese brigadier general. The rivals have also decided that the two groups' upcoming negotiations would continue January 14, 2016 in Ethiopia.

The learned outlets also added that the pro-Hadi negotiation team has told Ansarullah's team members that Saudi Arabia was planning to perpetuate the war for next six months and that Riyadh has trifled with them, an issue which could not benefit any of the Yemeni groups and parties, especially that the rights groups' pressures have been mounting on the US to press Saudi Arabia to stop the war in Yemen.

The resource continued that with a regard to the possibly reachable results of the talks and possible removal of Hadi from power after the negotiations, the Yemeni envoys to the US and UN in association with the US ambassador in Yemen had formed an operation room in Switzerland, trying hard in past few days in a bid to deadlock the negotiations.

Earlier, some of Yemen's groups had accused Ismail Wald Sheikh, the UN envoy to Yemen, of holding biased approach to help keep Abd Rabuh Mansour Hadi in power after the crisis ends in the country, an accusation denied so far by the UN office in Yemen.
