Baeidinejad welcomes closure of PMD dossier

Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Director General for Political and International Security Affaris Hamid Baeidinejad late Tuesday welcomed the new resolution issued by the IAEA Board of Governors on terminating PMD.

‘Closure of PMD dossier is considered as a ‘diplomatic success,’ Baeidinejad said in a post on his Instagram.

‘All members of IAEA Board of Governors and observers applauded and congratulated this historic decision,’ he said.

‘Today is a big day in the political history of Iran and especially the process of Iranian nuclear talks in more than a decade,’ he added.

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors unanimously voted in favor of a resolution to close Iran’s file on December 15.

The file is known as the Possible Military Dimensions (PMD) file and the resolution open the way for Iran and six world powers (UNSC permanent members plus Germany) to honor their commitments in accordance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
