Daesh terrorists kill 10 Iraqi citizens southwest of Kirkuk

Members of the Daesh terrorist group have reportedly executed nearly a dozen civilians in Iraqs northern province of Kirkuk.

A local source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Daesh members killed 10 people in the Shandoukha Village of the province, situated 236 kilometers (147 miles) north of the capital, Baghdad, on Sunday after accusing them of passing information to Iraqi government forces and facilitating their liberation operations, Arabic-language al-Sumaria satellite television network reported.

The source added that Daesh extremists executed the victims by firing squad in front of a large number of onlookers, and threatened to murder anyone who cooperates with the central Iraqi government.

Also on Sunday, 15 Daesh terrorists were killed when Iraqi fighter jets pounded their positions in the oil-rich al-Alaas and Ajeel districts, located 35 kilometers (22 miles) northeast of Salahuddins provincial capital city of Tikrit.

Separately, Iraqi security personnel launched separate ground offensives in the northern and southern outskirts of Anbars provincial capital city of Ramadi, killing at least 11 Daesh militants and destroying three vehicles rigged with explosives.

The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by gruesome violence ever since Takfiri Daesh terrorists mounted an offensive in June 2014. The militants have been committing vicious crimes against all ethnic and religious communities in Iraq, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians.

The Iraqi army together with fighters from the Popular Mobilization units has been engaged in operations to liberate militant-held regions.
