TEHRAN, Dec. 08 (MNA) – Works of the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB) will be displayed in an exhibition to be held in Iran’s Isfahan.
The expo will accommodate 80 works of BIB winners, in the past 25 editions, as well as the winners of the 2015 round, the Iranian winners of the previous editions as well as the Iranian nominees of the2015 exhibition.
The Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB) is one of the oldest international honors for children’s book illustrators.
It is one of the more prestigious children’s book awards today, along with Hans Christian Andersen Award.
From the very beginning BIB has been held under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Board on Books for Young People IBBY and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Slovakia.
The main awards of BIB include Grand Prix, Golden Apples and Plaques.
The Iranian exhibition will open on Monday, Dec 14, in Isfahan’s Museum of Contemporary Arts and run for two days.
Concurrent with the exhibition’s opening ceremony, the session of ’50 years with Iran in the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava’ will be held in which a number of artists will deliver speeches.
