Tehran, November 30, The Iran Project– A senior official of Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization says Iran is to host the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (ISESCO) special committee.
Speaking to a reporter on Monday, Mohammad Hassan Talebian, the deputy head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization noted the recent correspondence between Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization and ISESCO in order to establish an ISESCO related committee in Iran.
He added that following the Iranian organization’s accord, a letter has been sent to ISESCO last week to officially announce Iran’s readiness to host the ISESCO’s committee soon.
Highlighting Iran’s proposal to register the Hajj Pilgrimage event, Talebian called other’s Muslims countries participation to take measure for global registration of this Islamic event.
Set up by 52 member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), ISESCO is one of the largest international Islamic organizations specializing in the fields of education, science, and culture. The body’s headquarter is in Rabat, Morocco.
