1st JCPOA talks between Araqchi, US coordinator today

Tehran, Nov 24, IRNA -- Head of the headquarters in charge of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Abbas Araqchi and the US Coordinator for Iran Nuclear Implementation Stephen Mull are to hold talks today in the Austrian capital.

The today talks will be the first between the Iranian and American officials on the implementation of the JCPOA.

The talks will focus on the process of the implementation of JCPOA, Iran's measures and the other side's commitments.

Araqchi is also planned to meet with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano on Wednesday.

Mull has been in Vienna since Sunday to review the implementation process of the JCPOA during his talks with the representatives of the P5+1.

P5+1 includes the US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany.
The representatives of the six world powers have also held related talks with the IAEA officials.

On July 14, Iran and the six world powers reached a comprehensive agreement on nuclear issues and put an end to over ten years of negotiations.

According to the agreement, the UN Security Council's bans on Iran and the unilateral sanctions imposed on Tehran by the US and the European Union will be removed in return for some measures taken by Iran regarding its nuclear program.
