How should world respond to Paris attacks?

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA - Multiple bomb and gunfire attacks by ISIL terrorists targeting several restaurants, a concert hall and a stadium in Paris on Friday were the latest in a wave of violence hitting France.

The point is why the country had not tightened security measures following the initial assault, the one in January when two gunmen opened fire at the headquarters of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Furthermore, ISIL had vowed to carry out retaliatory attacks on countries involved in military action against the terrorist group in Iraq or Syria.

Muslims around the world took to social media to condemn the deadly attacks that left more than 130 lives and defend Islam as a faith of peace.

Seemingly, violent attacks would not be limited to just France. ISIL may plan its arrows at other countries in the region and across the world.

Just a day before the horror night in France, two bombers, who also claimed to be associated with ISIL, killed 43 people in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

In fact, the terrorists criminal move is aimed at fueling fear and anxiety in France and other states countering the terrorist group.

But the terror attacks in Paris triggered renewed calls for regional powers to play a role in solving the Syrian crisis.

During democratic debates in the United States on Saturday, presidential hopefuls called on Arab states to take part in the fight against the terrorists to help avoid entrenching their countries in another long-term Middle East conflict.

In addition, pressure is mounting on Saudi Arabia to end its financial and moral support for extremist groups and work toward a permanent solution.

Saudi Arabia has funneled millions of dollars into groups like Jaysh Al-Islam. But support for such groups has turned the Syrian conflict into a complicated, multifaceted one.

A professor of international studies at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Vijay Prashad, says, They need to inform their private princes that their financing has to end, its over. That game is finished, its too dangerous.
