Some 950 physicians, nurses, health technicians and pharmaceutical experts will be sent to neighboring Iraq to offer services to mourners who converge on Karbala to commemorate Arba'een [which marks 40 days since the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad].
According to a senior official with the Iranian Red Crescent Society, these individuals will arrive in Iraq later in November and will be based in Karbala, Najaf and stations along the road linking the two holy cities to offer medical services to Shiite pilgrims.
