Iran will launch its electronic visa scheme next year, according to Masoud Soltanifar, the head of Iran�s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization.

Speaking to news website Khabaronnline, he said the Foreign Ministry has been tasked by the government to ensure the scheme is carried out smoothly and swiftly. Soltanifar, who doubles as a vice president, said discussions have been held with some countries to abolish visa requirements. He did not give details.
