Iran sets conditions for attending Vienna talks on Syria

A deputy foreign minister has said that Iran will take part in the next round of Vienna talks on Syria if the frameworks outlined in the first round are respected and certain regional and trans-regional parties to the talks do not make unwise and irrational decisions.
Abbas Araghchi further said that Iran will certainly take part in the next round of Vienna talks if it feels that the talks move forward toward a reasonable approach which leaves it to the Syrian people to decide their future and if the talks remain in keeping with the guidelines of the Supreme Leader.
He went on to say that the first round of talks over Syria were relatively successful, adding that the frameworks set there were in conformity with Iran's principles.
