A senior Iranian official has expressed doubts about the presence of a delegation from Tehran in a fresh round of international talks on the crisis in Syria, saying the Islamic Republic has yet to decide on attending the November 14 meeting in Vienna.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who serves as Iran�s deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, said on Wednesday that Iran has not yet decided on participation in the next ministerial-level meeting, despite previous statement which had confirmed Tehran�s willingness to attend the meeting in the Austrian capital.

Amir-Abdollahian, who was speaking to the Lebanese al-Mayadin TV upon arrival in the capital, Beirut, said the United States should provide �answers regarding some unilateral actions taken by some of the sides� participating in the talks, which have come �without consulting others.�

He added that Tehran would not tolerate actions that violate the agreements reached in the Vienna I meeting.

The international day-long meeting on the Syrian crisis wrapped up in the Austrian capital on October 30. Foreign ministers from Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Russia, Jordan, Britain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Lebanon, China and Oman, as well as the US secretary of state attended the talks.

Envoys from the United Nations and the European Union were also present at the meeting.

This was the first time that the Islamic Republic attended the talks after it was denied participation in the previous two rounds - both of which ended inconclusively - under pressure from the US and its allies.

Officials in Washington said on Tuesday that a new round of international talks aimed at resolving the crisis will be held in Vienna on November 14.
