South Yaran output to rise 50k bpd by March 2016

TEHRAN Nov. 11 (Shana) Operator of South Yaran Oilfield said Iran will raise crude oil recovery from the field by 50,000 barrels per day by March 2016 which is the end of the current Iranian calendar.
Homayoun Kazemeini told Shana that all the necessary arrangements have been made to add to the field's output during the next calendar year.
Iranian Ministry of Petroleum has devised dozens of plans to boost crude oil production from West Karoun oilfields including Yadavaran, North Azadegan, South Azadegan, North Yaran and South Yaran which Iran shares with neighboring Iraq.

Iraq is already recovering 200,000 b/d from South Yaran field which the two neighbors share.
Kazemeini said decisions regarding the supply of utilities and equipment needed for completion of the South Yaran oil recovery facilities have been finalized and the contractors will start operating the facilities under an EPC contract.

He said Iran has imported no oil rigs for drilling wells in South Yaran as 9 rigs are spudding wells at the oilfield.
