Shamkhani: Iran's response to Wests violation of JCPOA would be 'very frank'

Tehran, Nov 8, IRNA Iran is to respond in a quite vivid manner to any violation of the nuclear agreement by the West, said the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani.

Talking in a TV program on Saturday night, he said Iran could easily return to its desired point in case of any kind of violation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by the other parties.

He said only Americans could be expected to violate the JCPOA because there has been no mention of doing so by the Europeans so far.

Saying that the process of implementing nuclear deal follows a certain timetable, he noted that though preparation is in place for clearing nuclear wastes in Natanz and Fordow, no centrifuges have been removed yet.

Shamkahni said Iran is waiting for the official announcement by the Intentional Atomic Energy Agencys Board of Governors regarding closing of Irans dossier which will smooth implementation of the document.

He said, 'After the nuclear deal, Iran will move toward developing a peaceful nuclear power, so smart ways should be devised for proper implementation of the document in a way that would lead to enhance national solidarity.'

On the Syrian situation, the SNSC chief said Iran plays only an advisory role there and is not determined to enter war.

He also described Daesh as an instrument for the West to advance its own goals.
Pointing to the poor performance of the anti-ISIL collation, Shamkhani said it was basically formed to deepen dependence of certain countries on West.
