The minister of communications and information technology has said that the government has on its agenda a plan to develop a national satellite in cooperation with a foreign firm, adding that approaches have changed following the conclusion of the Iran nuclear deal and the country will definitely make progress on the satellite front.
Mahmoud Vaezi also talked about the countrys bandwidth and said that Irans Internet bandwidth was 620 gigabytes per second when the eleventh government took office, adding that it has now increased to 2,400 gigabytes per second and that the national IP network's bandwidth will increase to 4,000 in a month. Asked about the filtering of social networking sites, the minister said that social sites can operate as long as they provide healthy content with no unethical pages.
