Shahr-e Kord, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Prov, Nov. 3, IRNA � A senior lawmaker said on Tuesday that the role of Majlis (Parliament) is not only to supervise and overlook the implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) but also help the government in its implementation.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said Majlis stresses the need to follow the Supreme Leader's guidelines on the issue.

While pointing out that Majlis National Security committee has a mission to supervise the implementation of the JCPOA, Boroujerdi said Majlis will do its duty carefully and deligently.

Turning to Syria peace talks held recently in Vienna, Boroujerdi said the talks should prepare the ground for the Syrian people to decide the future of their own country.

Abbas Araqchi, deputy foreign minister and a senior member of nuclear negotiating team, said on Monday that the process of implementation JCPOA is very close to start.
