AEOI: Iran ready for nuclear co-op with EU, other countries

Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi, said on Tuesday that Iran is ready for exchange of manpower with the European Union, Japan, China and other countries to cooperate on nuclear research and other issues.

Kamalvandi made the remarks speaking during a conference in Tehran to discuss and analyze the consequences of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and the six world powers in July on Iran's geopolitical status.

As a member of nuclear club, Iran can provide nuclear services or receive nuclear technology from many countries, Kamalvandi said.

AEOI's goal in nuclear negotiations was to minimize the limitations so that they would not deprive the country from nuclear technology, Kamalvandi said. He pointed out that Iran also wanted its enrichment program to be recognized and the sanctions to be terminated at the same time.

He noted that Iran gained what it wanted in the course of nuclear talks and had achievements beyond what was expected.
